Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I choose Inspect For You for my property inspection?
Inspect For You offers thorough, reliable, and affordable property inspections, complete with clear visual documentation and expert insights. We provide everything you need to make an informed decision and confidently apply for a rental, even if you can’t attend the inspection yourself. With clear photos, videos, and detailed reports, we give you peace of mind before you sign your lease agreement.

Can you inspect a rental property for me if I’m interstate or overseas?
Absolutely. We regularly assist clients who are relocating or unable to attend inspections in person. Whether you're overseas, interstate, or just tied up at work, we’ll attend the inspection on your behalf and provide a detailed report, photos, and videos so you can make a confident decision from anywhere. We also confirm attendance with the real estate agent, so you’re still eligible to apply for the property even if you can’t be there in person.
Do I need to inform the real estate agent about this service?
No, you don’t need to let the agent know we’ll be attending on your behalf. However, you are responsible for booking the inspection with the agent and confirming the date and time with them directly. Once you’ve done that, simply book the inspection with us using those confirmed details.
We’ll then attend the inspection for you. If there are any changes to the time, just let us know and we’ll adjust accordingly.
What’s included in each inspection package?
Each package offers different levels of detail to suit your needs. From basic photo and video walkthroughs to full written reports and suburb insights, there’s something for everyone.

Can I request specific questions or concerns to be checked during the inspection?
Yes. When booking, you can include any specific concerns or requests — whether it's checking for bad smells, road noise, storage space, or whether your fridge will fit. We tailor every inspection to your priorities.
Are there any extra charges for weekend or urgent bookings?
We do not charge extra for weekend inspections. Same-day or urgent bookings incur a $30 priority fee, depending on inspector availability.
What if I need more than 1 property inspection?
If you’re inspecting multiple properties, our Pack of 3 or Pack of 5 inspections offers discounted rates. You can book all inspections at once or spread them out over time, whatever works for you. Just contact us and we’ll help coordinate everything smoothly.
Do you offer inspections for landlords or property owners?
Yes, we do. We provide services for landlords including routine inspections every 3 months, as well as detailed move-in and move-out condition reports. These are perfect if you’re managing a rental property remotely or want independent documentation for peace of mind.

How will I receive my inspection details?
You’ll receive everything via email. We’ll provide access to a Google Drive folder containing all photos, videos, and documentation included in your selected inspection package, so you have everything in one place.
Once we receive the property inspection report, what is the process for applying for the property?
Since we use your name, email, and phone number during the inspection, all relevant application details will be passed on to you. The real estate agent will usually send you a link to apply, and if there are any application codes provided at the inspection, we’ll make sure they’re recorded and shared with you.
What happens if Inspect For You fails to attend the inspection?
While we take every precaution to ensure our inspectors attend as scheduled, unforeseen circumstances can sometimes arise. If we are unable to attend, we will notify you as soon as possible and arrange a prompt reschedule at no extra cost or a full refund. Your satisfaction and timely service are our priorities.
What happens if the real estate agent, landlord, or selling agent fails to attend or provide access?
Access to the property must be provided by the real estate agent, landlord, or selling agent. If they fail to attend or grant access, the inspection cannot proceed. In this case, no refund will be issued, and the booking must be rescheduled at full cost.
